At Touhula, we operate during the day in small groups in which each child is seen and heard as a unique individual. The childrens’ guardians also have an opportunity to be genuinely present and help fulfil their children’s needs.
The TouGo application is the primary tool for contacting the daycare centre about everyday issues concerning a child.
Touhula’s partnerships are based on the following core values: the joy of learning, the desire to do good and making everyday life easier for families. Touhula daycare centres collaborate with several partners.
The Moomin Language School application enables children to participate in 5 to 15 minutes a day of playful language-learning exercises, created by experts for the development of all aspects of language learning. Every detail of the application has been carefully considered in order to support learning.
Teachers can adapt flexible play-session plans to the needs of their own groups. The Moomin Language School application also monitors each child’s learning in real-time reports open to both teachers and parents.
Kide Science activities are science education for young children. Kide Science guides children through the wonders of everyday life through exploration, experimentation and observation. We emphasize playful learning, stories and drama in action.
The activities are based on the Vartiainen science education model developed at the University of Helsinki. Science education can be seen in all areas of Early Childhood Education and Care, from basic care routines to guided science lessons. Children learn to observe and study the phenomena of science in their own environment and the use of related concepts in everyday life. Children’s approach to science is playful and exploratory pedagogy.
