Touhula Kalajoki is a new daycare centre in Pohjankylä, Kalajoki. The daycare facilities were built in the summer of 2018 to fit the mobile needs of a daycare centre.

As an arts-themed daycare centre, Touhula Kalajoki supports the well-being of the children through different methods of arts and culture. All of our activities are child-centered and the children get to express themselves creatively in various ways every day.

At Touhula Kalajoki, every child gets to be an artist. We acknowledge different cultures in our activities and strenghten kids’ critical thinking abilities while encouraging them to think creatively.

For physical education we have specific facilities which include for example a climbing wall. Our versatile yard is divided into three areas and it enables all kinds of games and plays. We also go on field trips and explore the surrounding nature.

At Touhula Kalajoki we have four groups of children divided on the basis of age. You can follow our daycare centre on Facebook and learn more about our customs and daily activities!

Apply for Early Childhood Education and Care

Fill out the application, and our Daycare Manager will be in touch with you within a week. In most cases, we are able to confirm a place right away, allowing the child to start quickly. The application is not binding.

Our groups

At Touhula, we operate during the day in small groups in which each child is seen and heard as a unique individual. The childrens’ guardians also have an opportunity to be genuinely present and help fulfil their children’s needs.

The TouGo application is the primary tool for contacting the daycare centre about everyday issues concerning a child.
