A customer register is created from the day-care centre clientele. This register is managed and maintained by Touhula Varhaiskasvatus Oy.
The data in the customer register is used for managing the centres’ client information, customer payments, contact information, and communications. For its electronic content, the register and the data it contains reside on a secure server and all electronic data transfer takes place over secure and encrypted connections.
For the non-electronic content, the data (for instance, the children’s contact information at the centre, plans in accordance with the National Curriculum Guidelines on Early Childhood Education and Care in Finland, etc.) are stored in locked and/or monitored premises that comply with the legal requirements. All data is stored only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is used and shall be destroyed in a secure manner thereafter.
Data is collected in the customer register at the start of the customer relationship. No data is provided to outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
If the customer so wishes, he/she may request to see their personal information. The request to see the information must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Touhula shall store the archived documents in compliance with applicable data protection and social and health care legislation. In case the day-care is paid for using a service voucher, the municipality shall be the owner of all the resulting documentation, and these documents shall be delivered to the municipality to be archived at the termination of the customer relationship. The municipality overseeing the service and/or the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (Kela) shall be responsible, for their part, for the maintaining and archiving of the register under them.
Contact person for maintaining the register and for further information is: Mikko Peltoniemi, email@example.com.
